FAQ & Safety

Everything you need to know before getting started, including safety information you should read first.

Safety — please read before use

Cold water immersion is not suitable for everyone. Please seek medical advice from your GP before starting if you have heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, Raynaud's disease, respiratory or neurological conditions, pregnancy, recent surgery, or any condition for which cold or physical shock may pose a risk.

General guidance: start with shorter sessions at warmer temperatures and build gradually. Do not plunge alone until you know how your body responds. Exit immediately if you feel unwell, faint, or experience chest pain. Never leave children unsupervised near the tub.

How cold does it get?
The chiller allows you to set your preferred temperature, typically ranging from around 3°C to 15°C. We'll help you set the right temperature on installation day, and you can adjust it from there.
Do I need to buy ice?
No. The chiller unit maintains the water temperature automatically. You never need to buy, store, or handle ice at any point.
How often is it cleaned and serviced?
We visit every 10 days to clean the tub, treat the water, check the chiller, inspect all equipment, and top up the water level if needed. You don't need to do any of this yourself.
What is included in the monthly price?
The monthly hire fee includes the cold plunge tub, the chiller unit, delivery and installation, all 10-day service visits, water treatment during visits, and ongoing support. See our pricing page for full details.
How long is the minimum hire period?
The minimum hire period is 2 months. After that, the hire continues on a rolling monthly basis — you can extend as long as you like or arrange a return collection with reasonable notice.
What do I need at my property?
An outdoor power socket (13A), an outdoor tap, a level stable surface for the tub (patio, decking, concrete), and clear access to the installation area.
Can I move the tub after it's been installed?
We ask that you don't move the tub or chiller yourself after installation. If you need it repositioned, contact us and we can arrange this during a service visit. Moving the equipment incorrectly could damage it or affect water chemistry.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes. The temperature is adjustable, so you can start warmer and work your way colder as your body adapts. Most people find a starting point of 12°C–15°C manageable. Start with shorter sessions and build from there. Please read the safety section above before starting.
What happens if I want to keep it longer?
After the minimum 2-month hire, you can simply carry on. The hire rolls over month by month and you'll be billed monthly. No new contract needed — just let us know if you decide to return it, and we'll arrange collection with reasonable notice.
What happens if something goes wrong with the equipment?
Contact us directly and we'll respond as quickly as possible. Minor faults will be resolved at your next scheduled service visit. Anything more urgent we'll deal with as a priority. Equipment is covered under our responsibility during the hire period for normal use.
How do I set or adjust the temperature?
The chiller unit has a simple control panel. We'll show you how to use it on installation day. Temperature adjustments take effect gradually over a few hours.
What areas do you cover?
We currently serve Surrey and surrounding areas. If you're not sure whether we cover your postcode, include it in your enquiry and we'll confirm.
What happens at the end of my hire?
We arrange a collection visit, drain and remove the tub and chiller, and leave the area tidy. There's no charge for collection. Your refundable deposit is returned following inspection of the equipment.
Can I purchase the equipment after hire?
We may offer a purchase option in the future. If and when that becomes available, existing hire customers will hear about it first. There's no guaranteed purchase option at this stage.
