A straight answer on cold plunge hire pricing in the UK, what should be included, and the costs that sit outside the monthly figure.

Cold plunge and ice bath hire in the UK is normally charged as a monthly subscription for home use, or per setup for one-off events.
Deep Chill home hire runs from £180 a month for self-managed hire to £250 a month for fully managed hire, with a two-month minimum and no deposit. Event hire starts at £125 per setup. You can see the full breakdown on our cold plunge hire prices page.
The more useful question is not the headline number, though. It is what that number actually covers.
Before comparing two hire quotes, check whether each one includes:
Every Deep Chill package includes all of the above. Where packages differ is who looks after the water day to day.
This is the single biggest thing that moves the price, and it is worth being honest with yourself about it.
Self-managed hire is cheaper because you handle the routine water care yourself. It is not difficult, and we hand over a clear routine on installation day, but it is a genuine ongoing task rather than something you can ignore.
Fully managed hire costs more because we visit every 14 days to clean the tub, refresh the water and check the equipment. If you know you will not keep on top of water care, this is the option that actually gets used rather than quietly abandoned after a month.
There is a middle option too: self-managed hire with an Ozone Unit, which helps support water quality between cleans while you still handle the routine.
Any honest answer to "what does it cost" has to include these:
Buying a cold plunge outright means a significant upfront cost for the tub and chiller, plus everything that comes after it: installation, maintenance, repairs when the chiller develops a fault, storage if you stop using it, and eventually disposal.
Hiring spreads that into a monthly figure, and moves the risk of equipment failure onto the hire company. It also means you can stop.
That last point matters more than people expect. Plenty of enthusiasm for cold water does not survive contact with a wet February morning. Hiring for a couple of months tells you whether you are someone who will genuinely keep it up, at a fraction of the cost of finding out the expensive way.
If you already know you are committed and you have somewhere permanent to put it, buying may well work out better over several years. If you are not certain yet, hiring is the lower-risk way to find out.
For transparency, ours is: £180 a month self-managed, £200 with an Ozone Unit, £250 fully managed with a service visit every 14 days. Two-month minimum, then rolling monthly with 30 days' notice. No deposit. Delivery, professional setup, handover and collection included.
