This guide explains how to look after your Deep Chill cold plunge between scheduled maintenance visits and how to use it safely.
Deep Chill provides a managed residential service. We normally visit approximately every 10–14 days to inspect, clean and maintain the equipment and refresh or replace the water where appropriate.
Our residential service is designed for private home use by the customer, their household and occasional personal guests. It is not intended for commercial use, public events, paid sessions or high-volume shared facilities.
For residential hires, Deep Chill normally uses fresh water with filtration and regular maintenance, without routine chemical treatment.
Where Deep Chill considers it necessary for hygiene, safety, heavy use or longer hire periods, a simple water-care treatment may be used or recommended to help maintain water quality.

To help keep the water in good condition:
Before use:
After use:
Do not add anything to the water unless Deep Chill has specifically told you to.
Do not add chlorine, bromine, bleach, disinfectant, cleaning products, bath salts, Epsom salts, essential oils, soap, bubble bath, fragrances, dyes or any other water-treatment product.
Do not use the plunge if:
The safest rule is:
When in doubt, stop using the plunge and contact Deep Chill.
Where reasonably practical, rinse or shower before using the plunge.
This is especially important after exercise, gardening, muddy running, using fake tan, applying body oil, moisturiser, sun cream or heavy makeup.
Small amounts of normal skin products do not automatically mean the water must be changed, but reducing dirt, sweat and oils helps keep the water in better condition.
Do not use the plunge if you currently have vomiting or diarrhoea.
Avoid using the plunge if you have a significant open wound that could contaminate the water.
Replace the cover after use.
Keeping the tub covered helps reduce leaves, insects, dust, animal debris and other outdoor material entering the water.
The cover should not be used as a seat, table or play surface. Do not place heavy objects on it.
Small amounts of outdoor debris are normal, especially in gardens. You may remove obvious floating debris such as leaves, grass or small insects.

Occasional personal guests may use the plunge as part of normal private home use. Please make sure they understand the basic safety and hygiene rules before using it.
Do not charge people to use the plunge or use it for commercial sessions under a residential Deep Chill agreement.
Do not allow pets or animals to use the plunge. Contact Deep Chill if an animal significantly contaminates the water.

Deep Chill normally visits approximately every 10–14 days.
A maintenance visit may include:
The normal 10–14 day maintenance interval does not guarantee that every body of water will remain suitable for exactly 10 or 14 days.
Water condition can change depending on use, number of users, weather, outdoor debris, body products, hygiene and equipment operation.
Contact Deep Chill early if the water condition changes. You do not need to wait until the next scheduled visit.
